Air of words, 2024 - 2025

This work is the result of a long project that observes the process of how a word is spoken and what happens to the materiality of that spoken word and what remains of it: the air that is entangled with breath, the breath that is mixed with voice.

In this specific artwork the artist speaks small fragments of poetry underwater, she records herself and using the captured image as a reference, she shapes this form into glass, representing each word and then speaking it again inside.

Esta exposición es un archivo de especulaciones y exploraciones formales sobre lo casi nada; aquello que tiene el grosor de una hoja de papel, el peso de un grano de sal, la densidad de un respiro, la extensión de un instante y la contundencia de un latido. Para explorarlo resulta necesario afilar no sólo la mirada sino también la escucha, el gusto y el tacto para percibir lo invisible.
